Greenfield implementations — a business's first real ERP, replacing spreadsheets and disconnected tools — and brownfield implementations — replacing or substantially re-implementing an ERP that's already in place — require different playbooks, and we scope them differently from the outset rather than running both the same way.
Implementation proceeds in defined phases (core finance and operations first, extended modules after) with a working configured environment reviewable at the end of each phase, rather than a single big-bang cutover unless the business genuinely needs one. For brownfield projects specifically, we start by auditing the existing configuration and customizations to separate what's worth carrying forward from what caused the original system to underperform.
