Data migration is scoped as its own dedicated workstream, not a rushed task squeezed into the final weeks before go-live — because a new ERP populated with duplicate customer records, inconsistent SKUs, or years of uncorrected errors will simply carry those problems forward at a larger scale. We extract source data from wherever it currently lives — Tally, QuickBooks, an outgoing ERP, or plain spreadsheets — and run it through a defined cleansing pass: deduplication, standardization, and validation against business rules before it's mapped into the target system.
Migration typically runs through staged dry-run loads into a test environment, with reconciliation reports comparing source and target record counts and key totals, so discrepancies are caught and resolved before the final cutover load rather than discovered after go-live.
